i did an internship a few years back. me and the guys shot a video one night… we were obviously bored. brings back great memories. we shot the video in reverse… then reversed it in the editing process. it’s pretty much retarded. it’s amazing what happens when a bunch of bored guys get together with a video camera. enjoy.

Ok, i wasn’t going to do this… but i may as well. Here is a sneak peak at the video I made for the service this coming weekend. The series is titled “The Jesus You Never Knew.” Last week we covered the subject of “Being Blunt.” This week we’ll be talking about “Anger.” I threw this video together from a bunch of Youtube clips, put some music behind it, and used my favorite tool right now, Magic Bullet, to fix up the videos and give it the look i wanted. About 3 hours of work. Not too bad.
It took me forever to find out how to download videos from Youtube, but i solved the puzzle. Thanks to Firefox Helper and good ol’ Dave Smith. You can check out Dave’s blog at http://www.creativeideas.wordpress.com .
Enjoy… let me know what you think. Oh, and I know it’s a bit long… I plan on cutting a minute and a half or so off of it. Ok, NOW enjoy…

Ok, so as of late I have been consumed with the idea of shooting some short creative films. (Thanks Jory) So I decided to start stepping out into some new territory of film making and figure this thing out.
Today I went out to the shops at legacy and shot some random footage so i could piece together how i was going to do this. I played around with some color correction in Final Cut and it turned out ok. Of course i want to improve my video makin’ skillz, so if anyone has any advice or input, by all means, give it to me!
Changes i plan to make next time around:
1. i will be bringing along a glidecam to steady the shots
2. i will have more interesting people in the video other than boring people on the street
3. i will shoot at a time with better lighting
4. i will eat before i go shoot because i was stinkin’ hungry while shooting
5. i will make the transitions more syncopated with the music
I plan on shooting a video with my buddy Dave Smith in the next week or so. Because of hurricane Ike, I think our shoot may be postponed. We’ll prob do our shoot the next available Monday morning with a few people who can stand in as “models” in the video. Jory Cordy may come along and assist with his impressive directing skillz.
Anyways… here is the video:

So josh and i made these sonic videos a while back… not all at once, mind you. i thought it was time to share these with the world. we simply set the camera on the dash and just improvised. it took forever… we laughed so stinking much… but it was a blast. we showed these in our services… one was used for a series callled “getting real.” the other two were used for a series called “The Love Languages” where we delved into the 5 love languages. ok, enough rambling… enjoy:
