we are really making a push at student impact for more students to get involved. we are also trying to make the process as easy as possible if you want to serve in a creative area. i got the idea for this video from the Twitter in Plain English video.
i shot the video in about 30 min. edited the footage in about an hours time. sat through about 30 minutes of color correction render time. added sound effects, and then did the voice over. altogether…. it took about 3 1/2 hours work. fun stuff. enjoy.

we are about to start the new series “Games People Play.” it’s going to be a fun one. the first week’s game is tag. tag is all about throwing the blame somewhere else. it’s about not taking responsibility for your actions and decisions. you can’t go through life pretending there are no consequences. they will eventually catch up with you. anyways… the video isn’t so intense. i decided to make a sort of commercial each week during this series. it seemed like every obstacle that could have been thrown my way was thrown my way today. i’m surprised i got it finished. it was just one of those frustrating days in the office. well…. here it is: TAG BODY SPRAY… so enjoy.

Recently i have been reading a series of books called The Legend of Drizzt. It is, hands down, the best book series i have ever read. Yes, i am a nerd… through and through. I decided to take a break from Drizzt and break into some other reading.
Years back I read The Hobbit, and also The Lord of the Rings book series. They were amazing reads. I had heard that Tolkien had written some other works about Middle Earth but had never really looked into it. In my travels home this past week, I ran across a new release of one of Tolkien’s older writings… Children of Hurin. I browsed through the book, and immediately made the purchase. By the time i got through the introduction, i realized i still was missing alot of info. I realized there was another of Tolkien’s works that came before The Children of Hurin: The Silmarillion. Each of these books take place near to 6000 years before Bilbo ever found the ring of power in The Hobbit.

I’m pretty pumped about digging into these stories. Tolkien’s mind just amazes. The detail in this world he created just scrambles my brain. The imagination is boundless. I’ll let you guys know how the books go.
