I had my first show last night at The Door in Dallas and everything went extremely well! Thanks to all of you that came and showed support! I guess-timate that we had around 30-40 friends come out plus others that were there for other bands. It was a blast and every song went off smoothly. It was a quick five song set but we rocked it out!
A shout out to the guys that played with me:
Ryan Westerman – your drum solo was SICK
Dustin Barrow – you made that guitar do things i did not know were possible.. thanks for coming all the way up to play with me man!
Tom Atchinson – you + bass = nasty

Ok, here is the newest of my songs. It just a demo… nothing professional about it. Hopefully the guys will get together soon and get a good recording of it. ok i have some new tunes i’ve written and i created a myspace music to put them out there for all the world to hear. i have some of my newly learned banjo skills being debuted on of the songs. all for your listening pleasure… go here. ok… my next artist highlight will be sufjan stevens.
his albums illinoise, and michigan are amazing. this guy is a musical genius in my opinion. a strange and slightly abnormal musical genius, but a genius nonetheless. i get most of my bluegrass inspiration from this guy. go check him out.
oh some new news… (typing the same words next to each other looks weird… new news)… anyways, today i have entered the world of digital cable. 200 channels for my eyes to feast upon. who could pass up such an opportunity to rot your brain cells even more than you already have. but at least i can finally catch up on my shows and sports without having to venture to a friends house. my apartment is almost complete… i have just recently added finishing touches on the place… including a coffee table, a new desk (thanks lauren), paintings and small things to make the place a bit more like home. thank you ikea… you’ve been so good to me. and that was some new news that probably had no significance to you whatsoever… but now you know.
